Introduction
At Dawes we always try to give the best quality for the best value. Dawes has been a successful family name for more than 80 years and continues to grow. In 2008 we realised that we could offer fantastic quality BMX and Dirt Jump bikes at a great price, although this is the case we also realised that the name Dawes did not really suit the BMX and Dirt Jump scene, therefore Dirty-Bikes was born.
Dirty-Bikes are specifically designed to be built to last without costing the earth and also to look as good as possible with graphics that are a bit more daring than usually seen on a Dawes bike. Introducing Dirty-Bikes gave us the ability to really get creative with our design without fear of losing our brand image.
After the success of Dirty-Bikes we looked to further enhance our range to continue to offer our customers more options, this spurred the birth of Barrosa. Barrosa is a range designed to sit just below the Dawes range on the price scale but not on the quality scale. They are well built, well designed bikes that are suitable for anyone looking to keep fit but also keep an eye on their cash. The frames and components are all the same quality as a Dawes bike only branded as Barrosa, many of the bikes feature steel frames instead of aluminium frames on the Dawes bikes but don't be put off by the word steel as this usually means heavy cumbersome bikes that are hard to handle but we have taken every care to keep them as light as possible. All of the Barrosa range still use Shimano gears for their renowned quality and high quality brakes and wheels also.
