It is important to choose the right size bike as a correctly fitting cycle will be more comfortable to ride and enable you to ride faster, further and in more control.
To be able to correctly choose the size of your bike you must know your inside leg measurement.
To find this out correctly it is best to use the following method:
Stand upright with your back to a wall and with your shoes off and legs together.
Take a pencil and mark the wall at crotch level and measure the distance to the floor.
You can now use this measurement as a guide to which size bike you would like depending on the style of riding (touring, sportif etc). If your measurement falls between two sizes try to bear in mind your overall height. If your legs are long for your height you should perhaps err towards the smaller frame size. If your legs are short for your overall height then maybe the larger frame size would be better for you.
If you are unsure please ask your Touring Specialist dealer who will be able to correctly size you for your bike.
Our adult bikes are measured by their frame size. This is the length of the seat tube measured from the centre of the bolt which fastens the chainwheel to the top of the seat tube.
Once you have your bike you can make other small adjustments to aid your comfort. The saddle height can be adjusted along with its fore and aft position as can the height of the handlebar stem. The position of the brake levers around the handlebar can also be tailored to suit your personal riding style.
Your Touring Specialist dealer will help you with this and details can also be found in your user manual.

All frames are measured from centre of the crank to top of the seat tube.
